Welcome to the Into the Okavango website.

These Website Terms of Use & Disclaimer (“Website Terms”) govern your use of this website and the information, photographs, itineraries, articles, guides and other content available through it.

By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge these Website Terms.

1. About Into the Okavango

Into The Okavango is a California Seller of Travel.

California Seller of Travel: CST 2172860-50

Registration as a seller of travel does not constitute approval by the State of California.

These Website Terms relate to use of our website. They do not replace the Booking Terms & Conditions applicable to a confirmed travel booking.

2. Website Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that information on this website is useful and accurate when published.

However, travel information changes frequently.

Information concerning accommodation, safari camps, activities, transportation, schedules, rates, availability, entry requirements, health requirements and other travel arrangements may change without notice.

Website content is therefore provided primarily for general information and travel-planning purposes.

Details applicable to your individual trip will be set out in your quotation, confirmed itinerary and booking documentation.

3. Prices & Availability

Any prices shown on this website are illustrative unless expressly stated otherwise.

Prices may depend on factors including:

  • travel dates and season;

  • accommodation availability;

  • number of travelers;

  • room configuration;

  • transportation arrangements;

  • supplier rates;

  • taxes and government charges; and

  • the specific services included in an itinerary.

Displaying a price, property, itinerary or travel service on this website does not guarantee that it will be available when you enquire or book.

A travel arrangement is not confirmed until the requirements in our Booking Terms & Conditions have been satisfied and we have issued written confirmation.

Your individual quotation and booking confirmation will identify the price and services applicable to your booking.

4. Safari Camps, Accommodation & Suppliers

Into the Okavango arranges travel services provided by independent safari camps, lodges, transportation providers, guides, activity operators and other suppliers.

Descriptions, photographs, facilities, activities and other information concerning those suppliers may be based partly on information supplied to us by the relevant provider.

Properties and suppliers may change facilities, activities, schedules, policies or other details from time to time.

We make reasonable efforts to keep information current, but we cannot guarantee that every supplier detail shown on the website will remain unchanged.

Your confirmed itinerary and booking documentation should be used to determine what is included in your particular booking.

5. Wildlife & Safari Experiences

Wildlife is wild and free roaming.

Photographs, videos and descriptions on this website are intended to illustrate the types of experiences that may be possible on safari. They do not guarantee that you will see a particular species, number of animals, behavior, event or wildlife interaction.

Wildlife sightings depend on natural conditions and may vary considerably by location, season, weather, water levels and chance.

Travel in wilderness areas also involves inherent risks associated with wildlife, terrain, weather, transportation and remote locations.

Further information about these risks is provided in our Booking Terms & Conditions and your travel documentation.

6. Travel Advice, Passports, Visas & Health Information

Information on this website concerning passports, visas, entry requirements, vaccinations, health precautions, travel advisories or similar matters is provided for general guidance only.

Requirements can change at short notice and can vary depending on nationality, passport, travel history, transit arrangements and personal circumstances.

You are responsible for checking current requirements applicable to your own circumstances with appropriate official government, embassy, consular and health sources.

U.S. travelers should consult official sources such as the U.S. Department of State and appropriate public-health authorities.

Nothing on this website constitutes legal, immigration or medical advice.

7. Travel Insurance

Information concerning travel insurance on this website is provided for general guidance.

Into the Okavango does not provide individual insurance, financial or legal advice unless expressly stated otherwise.

You are responsible for selecting insurance appropriate to your circumstances and itinerary and for reviewing the applicable policy terms, conditions, exclusions and coverage limits.

Our Booking Terms & Conditions contain further information concerning travel insurance requirements.

8. Photographs & Illustrations

Photographs and videos on this website are intended to provide a reasonable impression of destinations, camps, accommodations, wildlife and travel experiences.

Rooms, vehicles, aircraft, furnishings, landscapes, water levels, vegetation and other conditions may differ from those shown.

Where an accommodation property has several room or tent categories, an image may be representative rather than an image of the precise room allocated to you.

9. Third-Party Websites & Links

This website may contain links to websites operated by third parties, including safari camps, tourism organizations, airlines, government agencies, travel resources and social-media platforms.

Links are provided for information and convenience.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the presence of a link does not mean that Into the Okavango owns, controls or endorses the third-party website or all information available through it.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, privacy practices or operation of third-party websites.

Your use of third-party websites is subject to their own terms and policies.

10. Reviews & Testimonials

We may display reviews, testimonials or comments from previous travelers.

Individual travel experiences vary, and a previous traveler's experience does not guarantee that another traveler will have an identical experience.

We do not knowingly publish fabricated customer reviews or testimonials.

Where required by law, material relationships relevant to an endorsement or testimonial will be disclosed.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the design, written content, itineraries, graphics, branding, logo and original materials on this website are owned by, licensed to, or used with permission by Into the Okavango.

Photographs and other materials supplied by safari camps, tourism organizations, photographers or other third parties remain the property of their respective owners where applicable.

You may view and use website content for your own personal, noncommercial travel-planning purposes.

You may not, without appropriate permission:

  • reproduce substantial portions of the website;

  • republish or commercially exploit our written content;

  • copy or reproduce our branding or logo;

  • sell or redistribute our itineraries or other proprietary material; or

  • use website materials in a way that infringes intellectual-property rights.

You are welcome to link to publicly available pages of our website provided the link is not misleading and does not suggest an endorsement or relationship that does not exist.

12. Acceptable Use

You may not use this website:

  • for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;

  • to interfere with the operation or security of the website;

  • to introduce malicious software or code;

  • to attempt unauthorized access to systems or information;

  • to harvest personal information from the website;

13. Website Availability

We aim to keep the website available and functioning properly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, hosting issues, internet outages or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue website features or content from time to time.

14. No Guarantee of Website Completeness

While we make reasonable efforts to provide accurate information, we do not guarantee that every piece of website content is complete, current or error-free at all times.

If information on the website differs materially from information contained in your confirmed quotation, itinerary or booking confirmation, please contact us.

Your confirmed booking documentation and Booking Terms & Conditions govern the services included in your booking.

15. Limitation of Website Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Into the Okavango is not responsible for loss arising solely from:

  • reliance on general website information that has subsequently changed;

  • temporary inability to access the website;

  • third-party websites or content outside our control; or

  • use of the website in a manner inconsistent with these Website Terms.

Nothing in these Website Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing in this section changes any rights or responsibilities arising under a confirmed travel booking or our Booking Terms & Conditions.

16. Privacy

Your use of this website may involve the collection and processing of personal information.
Please review our Privacy & Cookie Policy for information about what we collect, how we use it, cookies and your privacy choices.

Information concerning our California Seller of Travel registration, surety bond and participation in the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund is available on our Travel Protection & Legal page.

19. Changes to These Website Terms

We may update these Website Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our website, business practices or applicable requirements.

The current version will be published on this website with an updated “Last Updated” date.

Changes apply from the date the revised Website Terms are published and do not retroactively change the terms governing an existing confirmed travel booking.

20. Governing Law

Except where applicable law requires otherwise, these Website Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Nothing in these Website Terms is intended to remove any consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.
